Google Meet deletes your transcripts after 30 days.
Keep them forever.

The Google Meet API deletes structured transcript data 30 days after each call. Minutekeep saves every Meet transcript automatically, lets you search all your meetings instantly, and keeps everything private in your own browser.

FAQ

Where is my data stored?

In your browser's local storage on your computer. Minutekeep has no backend that receives your transcripts. AI features only send text to the provider you choose (your own key) or to a model running on your machine.

Which Google Workspace plans have Meet transcripts?

Google lists transcripts for editions including Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard/Plus, Education Plus and Workspace Individual (per Google's help pages; editions change, so check Google's current list for your plan). Free personal Gmail accounts and Business Starter don't get native Meet transcripts. Someone in the meeting has to turn transcription on.

Does it work with my transcripts that are already older than 30 days?

The Meet API only provides structured transcript entries for 30 days. Minutekeep archives from the day you install it onward; older transcripts remain as Google Docs in the organizer's Drive.

What permissions will it ask for?

Read-only access to your Meet conference records and transcripts via Google's official API. It never joins your calls and never adds a bot.

Which browsers?

Chrome (desktop) at launch. Other Chromium browsers may work; Firefox/Safari later if there's demand.

Is this made by Google?

No. Minutekeep is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. Google Meet and Google Workspace are trademarks of Google LLC.
